As a child, I grew up on an island in Puget Sound, where I spent most of my time mucking around in swamps and playing in the forest. Oblivious to how lucky I was to grow up there, I spent a lot of time dreaming about seeing the bigger world, which I did. From living in several big cities to traveling the world, my perspective broadened. Yet, my loyalty to the Northwest never changed, and when our daughter was born, I knew I had to get back West. From staggering mountains to jaw-dropping coastlines to glittering cities, we have everything here, so let’s get out there and explore.
